Admin and Other Skills Volunteers
Administration/Other Non Legal Skills Volunteers
The Scottish Child Law Centre runs a successful administration/other skills volunteer programme with year round places. Administration/other skills volunteers are usually people with office work experience or with non-law related skills which the Child Law Centre can benefit from (e.g. media, statistics, events management or DIY skills). -
Administration volunteers generally attend the Centre for one three hour shift per week either in the morning or in the afternoon following normal office hours.
-
Other skills volunteers may follow a less formal pattern of volunteering according to their availability and the requirements of the Centre.
-
All volunteering places are unpaid voluntary positions and no expenses are paid.
-
Applications are accepted at any-time throughout the year.
-
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
-
Administration volunteer duties will consist mainly of general office work duties, reception duties, and organisation of and participation in fundraising events.
-
Other skills volunteer duties will depend on the experience and skills of the individual.
-
Generally speaking, there will be no direct contact with clients of the Centre.
