The Scottish Child Law Centre is the only Law Centre in Scotland that works exclusively for children and young people. We are a small charity but our work covers the whole of Scotland.

We help children and young people, their families and carers, and professionals working for and with children by providing expert advice and information through our advice line, email and text services.

We also provide training on the law and children's rights to groups and individuals across Scotland, and offer a range of leaflets and publications on various issues. We do school visits as well.

 We receive over 2,500 calls to our advice service each year. We advise callers on a huge range of issues, including children’s hearings, contact and residence, parental responsibilities and rights, education, confidentiality and police powers.

The Scottish Child Law Centre provides a unique service to children and young people in Scotland in that we are the only source of confidential advice about children’s rights and how the law affects them. We do not represent children but we ensure that they understand what representation is available to them and how to get access to it. We promote the right of children and young people to have a view, to express that view and to use the law to ensure that they receive the care that they deserve.

Because we are a small charity we have a small budget. We are instituting a new corporate sponsorship scheme and we would like to invite you to become one of our sponsors. The details of our scheme are below. The money raised from our corporate sponsors will be used to maintain and develop our services.

We would be very grateful for any amount that you are able to donate to the work of the Scottish Child Law Centre. Suggested levels of corporate sponsorship are:

• Silver £500
• Bronze £150

In return, we will acknowledge your support on our website and other publicity materials. You will receive regular updates on our work. Any firm providing sponsorship on £150 or more will receive automatic corporate membership, with a range of benefits including discounts on training and publications.
