Children and Young People in the Digital Age - Protected, Respected and Supported?

Ensuring that law, policy and practice in Scotland is fit for purpose

It is becoming increasingly challenging for professionals, legislators and policy makers to keep up with the impact of technology and social media. This is particularly stark in relation to sexual offending by and against children, where concerns have been expressed that legal mechanisms to respond to youth produced sexual images deter children and young people from seeking help. Our Annual Conference takes a critical look at the legal position and whether provision for non-legal responses such as education and mental health support are meeting the needs of Scotland’s children and young people.

Join us, at the 2018 Conference in a call for action to ensure children and young people in Scotland are respected, protected, informed and supported in the digital age.

22nd November 2018

Royal College of Physicians, 9 Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1JQ
